It was a ground-up new platform intended to replace the “Hundred Series” or “Prior” Fords made from 1955 through 1964.
Ford 3000 Tractor equipped with a 3-cylinder OHV, water-cooled engine, which produces 47 hp (35.0 kW) at rated rpm 2100.
Ford 3000 could be ordered with a 175-cubic-inch diesel engine or Ford-built 158-cubic-inch gas.
It was rated at 37 HP at the PTO (Power take-off). Optional transmission systems were 4-speed, 6-speed, 8-speed, and 10-speed powershift transmission.

Sorry, I misspelled Brasildon. I have seen a couple of responses in this forum that make the assumption that a 'Ford tractor is a Ford tractor'. That is not so, tractors built in England have some parts that are the same as the American builts but many are different. My dad has been a Parts Manager in a Ford dealership since the late sixties and told me that the Fords built in Europe can be hard to get parts for. |

I understand how the production code works to date the tractor, but I don't really know what model it is, since I thought that 'B' was for a model 2000, 'C' for a 3000, etc. Can you shed in light on it? The lights are enclosed in the front grille vs sticking out the sides, and it has two fuel filters vs one, which someone told me indicates a newer model, but I don't know which model it is. |
